GTD in VaultPro.Business
Getting Things Done is a time-management method which was introduced by productivity consultant David Allen. It is often referred to as GTD. The GTD method rests on the idea of moving planned tasks and projects out of the mind by recording them externally and then breaking them into actionable work items. This allows one to focus attention on taking action on tasks, instead of on recalling them.
The GTD workflow consists of five stages such,
Capture : Capture everything that has your attention like personal and professional to-do, projects, things to handle or finish.
Clarify : Take everything that you capture and ask: Is it actionable? If No, then trash it, incubate it, or file it as reference. If yes, decide the very next action required. If it will take less than two minutes, do it now. If not, delegate it if you can; or put it on a list to do when you can.
Organize : Put action reminders on the right lists. For example, create lists for the appropriate categories like Calls to Make, Errands to Run, Emails to send, etc.
Reflect : Look over your lists as often as necessary to trust your choices about what to do next. Do a weekly review to get clear, get current, and get creative.
Engage : Use your system to take appropriate actions with confidence.
GTD is a solution for getting organized and staying productive. It may seem complicated on the outside, but the end goal is to spend less time doing the things you have to do so you have more time for the things you want to do.
GTD Concept in Our VaultPro.Business - Task Module
We have applied and implemented GTD concept in our VaultPro.Business as “Task Module”, the main goal of this module to spend a little time organizing to get a big payoff of time you would have spent on unnecessary, unproductive work. You'll be more organized and relaxed, because you'll never have to stress out about what to do next, how to do it, and when you'll have time, “Task Module” will handle that for you. The end result is that you're more in tune with your work and you're more engaged with your life.
